Pol Leurs was born in 1947 in the city of Luxembourg and lives as a retired engineer in Gonderange. He is married and father of three adult boys.

Self-taught in art, his works are regularly published in the Luxembourgish magazines Revue, forum, Ons Stad from 1975 to 1983 and from 2015 onwards in AutoTouring (ACL) and in the German satirical magazine Eulenspiegel. Since 1976 he has held individual exhibitions in Luxembourg and participated at many national and international exhibitions. He was a jury member at several international cartoon contests and was president of the jury at Salon International de la Caricature et du Cartoon de Vianden (Luxembourg) from 2009 to 2013.

Since 1980 Pol Leurs has participated at international cartoon contests and the young autodidact won his first prize, a special award for particular remarkable performances, at Cartoon’80 Berlin. Meanwhile he has won 76 prizes and mentions at national and international cartoon competitions, 17 of which are first prizes.

EAs the secretary of the Luxembourgish association CartoonArt.lu he promotes with some fellow artists and friends the cartoon art in his homeland.

Pol Leurs has periodically published cartoon books of a selection from his works since 2003.
